Track and field, a discipline of athletics, is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping and throwing skills.

The competitions include track events such as running sprints, middle and long distance contests, racewalking and hurdling. Field competitions usually include long jump, high jump and pole vault in the jumping categories.

There will also be a parasport/adaptive option for track & field.

Venue

Baldwin Wallace University’s George Finnie Stadium

Baldwin Wallace University’s George Finnie Stadium is home to several collegiate Yellow Jacket sports including American football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field.

In the summer of 2020, the track was upgraded with a new state-of-the-art Mondo Super X 720 surface installed by Kiefer U.S.A. Finnie Stadium has hosted three NCAA Division III national championship track meets along with the 2011 USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Finnie Stadium has hosted multiple National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III national championship track meets and several NCAA and Ohio High School Athletic Association football playoff games.

Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds – Throws Facility

The facility will host all throwing events (discus, hammer, and shot put consist of concrete rings and javelin has a Mondo throwing surface).

The Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds Throws Facility is located at Van Cleve Street, which is Gate 2 off of Eastland Road for the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds.
