Lettered in Volleyball and Track & Field in junior high school and high school.  In college joined the Intermural Rowing Crew.

WHAT SPORT(S) DO YOU CURRENTLY PLAY?

In 2020, I learned to shoot a Compound Bow. I started competing in Archery in 2021, at the ripe young age of 54. Transitioned to Barebow (Recurve) in 2022.

FAVORITE SPORTS MEMORY OR ACCOMPLISHMENT?

One of my favorite sports memories is going out for a college women’s Lacrosse team, after being taught how to play by a friend, a week earlier.  I made it to the last round of tryouts before being cut.  When the coach realized that my limited experience got me as far as it did, I was offered the position of team manager, which enabled me to practice with the team. The hope was to develop my skills for a successful tryout performance the following year.  We never found out it that plan worked. I transferred to another college before the next season.

FUN FACT

I started playing the guitar late in life. I had my first lesson at age 50.  Since then, I’ve written a number of Guitar Etudes – scores for the practice of specific guitar concepts. And in 2020, I wrote my first piece for guitar.
