How do I register for the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games – Cleveland?

What is included in the registration fee?

Registration fees are as follows:

  • Athlete: $225 USD + processing fees
  • Team Personnel: $100 USD + processing fees
  • Supporters: $100 USD + processing fees

Can I register for more than one sport/competition?

Yes. In fact, you’re making the trip, so we encourage it! Some sports may reach capacity earlier than others, but as long as it’s open and there’s no scheduling conflicts with your first sport of choice, we say, “the more the merrier.”

The registration fee covers three (3) sports maximum per person and up to five (5) disciplines.

When does registration close?

Registration closes for all team sports on June 12 (or when tournament capacity is reached):

NOTE: Registration **MAY** be extended until June 12th for team sports **IF** spots remain open and we decide that extending will help us provide a better athlete experience by filling brackets.

Where should I stay while visiting Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. for the 2024 PAMG?

Visit the PAMG Official Hotels website and make your reservation as soon as possible. Availability may be limited due to high demand, so early booking is highly recommended.

Where is the Welcome Celebration held?

The Welcome Celebration will be held in the heart of Downtown Cleveland on Mall C, directly across from the main entrance to the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. This location provides scenic views of the city skyline and the lake, and will be a great place to celebrate PAMG athletes, visitors and the Cleveland community.

The Welcome Celebration is free and open to the public, and registered participants will receive a free gift.

What other events are available for participants and spectators while in Cleveland?

Three special events are being planned for PAMG participants, and there’s so much more to do in Cleveland while you’re here.

Can I transfer my registration if I’m unable to attend?

If you’re unable to attend, you will NOT be able to transfer your registration to another individual.

Can I sign up as an individual or do I have to sign up as a team?

Each athlete must first register as an individual, if you are competing in a team sport you will have the option to create or join an existing team at the sport selection step during registration.

Where will results be shared?

Results for each sport will be posted to our website following the daily close of each competition. They will be accessible either on each individual sport page or via the “results” navigation at the top of the website.

Additionally, please ensure that you’re signed up to receive our newsletter as we will put out daily emails during the competition with result links.

What sports are you hosting during the 2024 PAMG - Cleveland?

The 2024 PAMG Official Sports Program will feature 24 medal-contending sports, 30 disciplines and 11 parasport or adaptive offerings. For a full list of sports, please visit our sports page.

Will you be offering adaptive sports?

YES! 2024 PAMG will offer 11 parasport or adaptive offerings. Check back soon for more information and to register.

What are the dates for 2024 PAMG - Cleveland?

What else is there to do in Cleveland outside of the games?

We’re happy you asked, as our community has something for everyone. Cleveland is as bold and passionate as the Pan-American Masters Games is active and proud. While the event embodies the spirit of perseverance, vigor, health and vitality at any stage in life, “The Land” (as it’s nicknamed) has many of these qualities.

  • Staying active is important for residents and visitors alike. Since PAMG is hosted during our summer months, we encourage exploring the outdoors in a city-centric adventure or an experience on a larger scale to stay healthy and active, no matter your age.
  • Balance is especially important for athletes — there’s a time to work and a time to play. Cleveland has a variety of delicious places to eat and drink.

Can I purchase spectator tickets for my family and/or friends?

We encourage your friends and family to cheer you on! All PAMG competitions are free to attend, but you can register as a supporter! The supporter pass includes the athlete kit, an official credential, PAMG Night at the Ballpark (athlete celebration) and special gifts at the Welcome Celebration and Farewell Celebrations.

I don’t live in the United States of America; can I still sign up to compete?

Absolutely! While held in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games is open to master athletes from all countries. We hope you’ll join us.

Do you offer refunds if I’m unable to compete?

While we hope that you are able to join us in Cleveland, we do understand that things beyond our control happen.

Registration fees, minus a $50 administrative fee, are refundable until Feb. 29, 2024. Refunds will be returned to the original form of payment. Processing fees are non-refundable. Please send a written request to hello@clevelandmasters2024.com to request a refund.

Between March 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024, refunds may only be granted for medical reasons. A written request with a doctor’s medical certification of the injury/illness must be provided. If granted, the full payment amount minus a $50 administrative fee will be returned to the original form of payment. Please send a written request to hello@clevelandmasters2024.com, with the above information, to request a refund. Processing fees are not refundable. Refunds after March 1, 2024 will not be granted for failure to be granted a travel visa or for failure to fill minimum roster size for team sports.

No refunds are permitted after July 1, 2024 for any reason.

What kinds of awards are available for each competition?

Our main goal of the 2024 PAMG – Cleveland is fun. However, we do want to recognize each individual athlete or team who has shown incredible athleticism. Each sport will feature medals based on age, competition and final results.

Further information on each sport’s awards and qualifications will be available on individual sports pages when they become available.

Are there any dress codes for sports and competitions?

Each individual sport may require certain attire/equipment depending on the discipline. Please see the Sport Guide found on the individual sport page.

While we don’t enforce a specific dress code, we do ask that you be mindful of others, including personal preferences and cultures. Additionally, we ask that everyone refrain from offensive or derogatory messaging on their person.

What currency is used in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.? Where can I exchange money?

Cleveland uses U.S. Dollars (USD).

If you’re traveling internationally, please visit the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Information Assistance page to find out more about currency exchange opportunities at the airport.

Additionally, many banks in the Cleveland area may be able to aid in exchanging currency.

What airport do I fly into to attend the 2024 PAMG - Cleveland?

We recommend you fly into Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to make your trip into our downtown area as smooth as possible.
