The sport of sailing requires knowledge, technique and a set of strong sea legs to race boats around a track, or course, marked with floating buoys. Generally, boats range in size from small dinghies to large yachts, but both use wind to power sails and propel the craft forward.

The Foundry Community Rowing and Sailing Center is Cleveland’s first Sailing Center that has offered educational and competitive sailing programs since 2016. Foundry sailing coaches and the outreach team work year-round to provide sailing experiences and equal access to Lake Erie for all students. The Foundry is honored to help facilitate the participation of sailors from around the world in the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games on Lake Erie by providing boats, volunteers, facilities and professional race management.

Sailing forward into Summer 2024, we can’t wait to host our Masters athletes on Lake Erie for this competition.
