Cleveland’s unique position to the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie, one of the United States’ Great Lakes, makes it a mecca for watersports.
Stand Up Paddle, also known as SUP, is a sport where athletes stand on a large stable board and use a long-handled paddle to propel through water. The competition has a clear start and finish line with winners posting the fastest time.
Presented by the International Canoe Federation (ICF), the organization responsible for canoe and kayak paddle sports by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this fast-growing global sport is one where core strength and balance are key.
We encourage all masters athletes to grab your dry bags and meet us in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. to see what’s SUP in Summer 2024.
There will also be a parasport/adaptive option for stand up paddle (ICF).
